Vossen wheels suck!

I know plenty of people with Vossen and don't have any issues. I wouldn't say they're a crappy product based on that. That said, years ago, before I had my import, I had a HORRIBLE experience with them. Since then, I have chosen not to deal with them. But, in this case, it really sounds like your car. I have a 05 coupe and ordered new vossen VVSCV3 and hankook v12's. I had shaking from the get go that they couldnt ballance out then two weeks later the paint was bubbling and chipping off the wheels. A sceond set was sent out and there where scratches on all the wheels and bubbles in the paint out of the box. Vossen said I they wont be sending out anymore wheels. I really wanted the wheels so I kept the second set. (my mistake) After I had them mounted I had such a bad shake everything in my car vibrates! I went back to have them re balance the wheels 5 times and still it shakes. I will be sending them off to a wheel repair shop in two weeks to see if they can be salvaged. I started doing some research (which I should of done before) and there are alot of complaints with the finish chipping off and vibration problems. Luxury, performance wheel ...I think not. Dont waste your money!

Yea, I'm not a fan of Vossen wheels as far as design but I've never heard of any issues like this. It's definitely not a common thing. If a company makes a large amount of the same product there are bound to be issues in some of them. Work, Volk, Rays down to Varrstoens, XXRs and other brands will all have problems with a small percentage. The OP just happens to be one of the unlucky few that's gotten what seems to be a bad wheel. But even with everything he's said I believe like WhosYourBuddie has stated that the underlying issue is something mechanical and not the wheels themselves. Just my .02

I have my stocks back on for now and it's back to smooth road's. I have finals then in 2 weeks from now ill take them to get the road force test done. If still a issue ill contact Deigo @ vossen. Just sucks going through so many problems for the past few months over wheels. Ive had ssr comp's down to cheap tenzo and rota's when I first started driving and never this much grief.

Any news on what's is going on? Have you gotten in contact with Diego at vossen? How many sets of wheels do you have? What happened to the other set? Did you have a road force test done? Maybe find a buddy that can swap wheels and see if he can replicate your issue?
