After putting my 19's(no drop) Do I need wheel alignment?
I got my new rims a week ago. They are 19x9 and 19x10.5.
My car is still using stock suspension. Do I need to get a wheel alignment? My car was running on 18s before. Thanks |
Typically no, but if you're rubbing or scrubbing too much on the inside treads, then
you might want to get an alignment. Also, some tires with agressive offsets will cause tramlining (or the effect of it) you will want to get a tad more toe-in for straightline stability. |
JMO, but................
An alignment is always a good idea. I get it done right after delivery & then I get it done annually after that. Factory alignment can be very poor. (usually within spec but poor) It's surprising how much it changes over time due to normal wear & tear. It can really make difference in the handling of the car. |
are they balanced? that's all i would do. when i got my winter rims/tires... i just mounted them. no problems with alignment.

Wow EvilDrago I'd love to see photos of the rear 10.5's I just hate it when G owners sell themselves short and opt for 9's or 9.5's in the rear.

im assuming that since u got new rims.. a drop is going to happen sometime soon? Or are you even going to consider that? If so, then hold off cuz allignments aren't all that cheap. It's like $50? If not dropping, then u should def get an allignment. I checked my allignment when I had my car still at stock, and it wasnt even alligned to factory specs. Seemed like they don't really take the time to allign our cars properly before they put em out for sale..
