8.5 or 9 in front, 10 or 10.5 in back, what's best?
 

I know some of this has been covered before but I want to ask again in case some new info is available.
I have decided to put 20s on my car. But, I am not sure what width and offset.
I like the look when the wheels and tires push out flush to the wheel wells (I don't like it when they look tucked inside).
I have no drop on my car and don't plan on doing one. What sizes and offset do you recommend? I would like to avoid rubbing or having to roll my fenders, if possible with 20s.
Also, what size tires are you running? Any probelms with the VDC?

I'm looking at the same setup, but WITH a drop...My cousin who is also a part of this forum and who drives a G dropped on 19s believes that the 20s will give you (us) problems with the VDC. I'm not sure what exactly. I would think that if you are keeping the suspension stock that you could go with a 285 tire in the rear and a 245 (even 255) in the front. Don't take that to the bank though, I'd wait for some more expierenced and familiar drives to holla at you...

I was running 285/35/19's on the back of my coupe, and it definitely rode a lot better than the 30 series. the 30s really messed with the VDC. The rear tires need to be larger than the front tires (thats all that really matters). I'm sure there is a ratio, but haven't done the homework. I put on the 35s in the rear, and the VDC was verry happy (as well as a smoother ride).

IMO the g35 handles and rides better with the rear setup correctly. The front is of course still important, but the changes to the rear were very noticeable (VDC as well).

As long as you keep the overall diameter similar to stock, you shouldn't have a problem regardless if you run 19s or 20s. You may encounter problems if you start mixing different aspect ratios (e.g. 35 series & 30 series, etc.).

I'm running 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear and have had no problems with rubbing, my speedo being off, or any problems with the VDC. You could fit 285 in the rear provided you get the correct wheel offset. Throwing 295s in the rear would most likely rub if you didn't get the fenders rolled. Also, lowering the car is another factor to consider for rubbing.
