19's are on and i have issues....
 

i just put my 19's on and i'm having some rubbing issues....i'm lowered on Tein H-Techs and when i hit certain low spots or corner hard i can hear it rubbing....the rears are especially bad.....it is shreading some of the tire on the outside.... do i need to get my fenders rolled or what??....someone please help me out.....

Like G35_TX said...you answered your own question. Your tires set up is fine but you didn't offer any info on the rims you have. So I have to assume you have aggressive offsets.

Roll or cut the inner fenders. I would cut it personally. Rolling is a good option, except you're taking a risk in cracking the paint and then you'll have to spend money on repainting it.

My advice...take it to a shop that will do a professional job.

yeah, that is what i'm thinking about doing....i have DPE RS 07's 19x9 in the front and 19x10 in the rear

Who did you order your DPEs from? :confused: They should of given you the right offsets for your G with or without Brembos to fit properly without rolling or trimming your fenders.

With a 19x9 and 19x10, I think the lowest you can go is about +25 offset.

It also depends on the section width of the tire. For instance the section with of the 275/35-19 of Pilot A/S is 11". The section width of a Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S is 10.9 (same size). So the tire buldges 0.1" more for the Michelins. This may make a marginal difference in whether you are rubbing or not.

It sounds like you have more rubbing than that, so you probably have an offset problem.

I think having the right offset means you "Must" roll or cut your fenders... Sounds like you got some nice fitment there... I just used a Dremel to grind off what I needed to... Rolled my fenders on my Lex and the paint cracked... I was pretty careful too...

Try to send back the rear wheels and exchange a couple of new ones $1500 OR ask DPE to pay your fender rolling $70 ;)

I agree with Risingsun124. I rolled my old IS300 fenders and the paint cracked like crazy. Assuming the paint is even softer on the Infiniti, I used a dremel this time around and carefully took off about 0.25". Only thing is you may want to use some touch up paint and cover the bare metal (especially in areas with salted winter roads.

i didn't order them from anyone....i bought them from a guy off here and he ordered them....they are set up to clear the brembos but i don't have brembos on my G...does that make a difference???.....

It doesn't make sense. Did they guy who originally ordered them expect to roll his fenders for a very aggressive look or to run 295 or 305s? Your running 245/275s so fitment should not be a problem. You should find out where he ordered them from and call that company.

Sounds like your got a nice aggressive stance. One thing to remember when not using a fender rolling machine is to make sure the paint is heated so it stretches more. Of course there is only so much it will stretch before eventually cracking. A heat gun does work wonders when using the old baseball bat.

I woudl suggest you pay a little more and get it done professionally with the right tools. You already forked over so much for the wheels, just spend a little more and get them to fit nice and snug.

yeah, i'm having someone do it for me...there is no way i would attempt to do this on my own... i would jack that all up for sure....they actually have a fender rolling machine???....it's crazy cause i went to a body shop here and the guy told me that they wouldn't do it and he would be curious to see how everyone else is doing it.....
