BFG G-force KDW's or Dunlop SP9000's
Ok so I have my 19x8.5 Axis Hiro's being shipped as we speak. I am trying to choose between BFG G-force KDW's or Dunlop SP9000's in 245/40/19.
Any thoughts, comments, advice, cheers, or catcalls? Any personal experiences? There is only about $80 seperating the two purchases. |
G-Force.
I have SP9000's on my other car but let me tell you, they are stacked up in the garage and have not hit the road for years... they don't perform that well considering it's suppose to be their flag ship model. |

i have the dunlops.. i found that the tires will get really really really noisy when they begin to wear out. I needed to replace my front tires because the noise was unbearable. Upon inspecting the tires, there was still plenty of tread left so I feel like I got jipped. Anyhow, the new tires dont make anymore noise.

Save your money and get the Michelin PS/2. Great riding tire, just put them on. They look and feel great and have a warranty not typical of a performance tire.

I've got SP9000s in my LMGT4s. I have no issues. They handle great, and make noise on noisy roads. On smooth blacktop surfaces they are very quiet. I'm extremely happy with them. All my vehicles have Dunlops. I've got SP5000s on my wife's Camry, GT Qualifier's on my truck, and K591s on my Harley.

if you want to stretch the tire, SP9's stretch a hell of a lot nicer. BFG's, perform better. why a fat 40 series??
|
pardon my ignorance but......what do you mean by stretch the tire?
Oh and I am going 40 series because our roads here are foul and because I bought the sedan due to my need to haul clients ergo I don't want to pound em too hard. But wazzup with the stretch? |
Toyo T1-R's!!!

toyos or KDW's
|
forcing a narrow tire on a wide wheel is the stretched look...

That's what I thought but a 245 on an 8.5 should be peaches and cream.
