Mother's Powerball

Finally took the plunge and bought this thing to help polish my wheel lips. I was a bit hesitant at first, as to its effectivness, but I like what it's done so far. The lips on my Iforged wheels became very hazy from dirt and neglect. With help from the powerball and Wenol polish, the lips are looking almost brand new.

My only gripe is that it's hard to get to the inner part of the lip closest to the wheel face. Because it's a huge sphere shape, I can't really wedge it in there very easily. I might end up cutting the top of the sphere off to alleviate this problem.

Interesting Moog, thanks for the review. Did you get it online? How much?

Does it remove fine scratches if you were to use it on scratched/scuffed up chrome?

I told you! HAAHAHA. Glad that it works even though I haven't used it yet. I will when the dubs get dirty. They look awsome William. You should get a drop like mine.

It that an attachment to polisher? B/c on the mother's site it looks like it was attached to an electric drill  Let us know! Thanks!

would you get the same results polishing by hand with mothers billet polish?

i can do the lips by hand fine but polishing the face of wheels and around the bolts is a pain in the booty

btw i put on wheelwax after repolishing. makes them look nice and shiny. smells good too.

you used wenol...meaning there's no clearcoat on the lip?

waijai Jul 20, 2005 03:43 PM

BrianlG35C: I bought it at a local auto parts store for $25.

afr0puff: Not sure if it'll work well with chrome, since chrome is an actual plating.

TwoK4drSi: yeah man, I saw how bling your brand new iForged wheels were and had to do something about mine.

Infinite1: It's attached to a drill. I need to get a corded drill because my cordless runs out of juice before I can finish all the wheels. And it takes like 12 hours to fully recharge.

lebby-pooh: It would probably take about 10 times longer to do by hand. I HATED polishing my lips because it took so much effort.

kenchan: My lips aren't clearcoated, and I don't believe many Iforged lips are.
