350Z Springs...to Lower Coupe and that's it.

I want to lower my 2004 Coupe. I have the OEM performance tire and wheel package and I just want a real subtle and modest drop.
I've done the research and it seems that the 350Z springs are the way to go for this.
Just a few clarifying questions before I do this....
1) I just purchase the OEM 350Z springs correct?
2) With doing just these springs, I won't need a camber kit or new shocks or anything like that...I can just do the springs and that's it.
3) How close to stock ride quality would it be. I hear its a little stiffer....to further clarify...is it 90% like stock?

Thank you for your help guys.
I just couldn't find these answers...thank you

I just installed 03 Z springs last weekend.
1.) Yes, although you could get the shocks/struts too since they're a little diff
2.) Right
3.) Pretty much same as stock

That was exactly what I needed to know and its better that it came from someone that's done it.

THANX

I will either being taking this route, or going w/ G35 H techs...I DEF. do NOT want a camber kit but want to lower enough to have a stock like ride w/o having to worry about uneven tire wear/alignment issues. Any ideas what the drop is on 350z springs vs Tein H techs for the G35/350z?? I know they are diff. in terms of stiffness...

I also know the G H techs are .3 rear .6 front...thats about it...

I think kenchan and gsedan35 have the best know how in terms of 'suspension' on our G and info. on a real good setup...they'll hopefully chime in here..

usually you just add .5 to any of the 350z springs to get your number, i too was thinking about the h techs for the Z but after doing a lot of reading i've decided to go w/ hotchkis 350z springs. about the same drop, with better spring rates.

Does anyone have a picture of a coupe with the 18" stock wheels lowered with the 350Z springs?

It would be awesome if they were side by side pictures with a non lowered coupe...but if not ... just a picture of a coupe lowered with the 350Z springs would be great.

Thank you

Does it matter how old springs are?
I can get a set with 30k on them....
these are OEM 350Z springs

how much does the oem 350 springs lower b/c i just bought 18's and if it is too high or looks funny, i'm going to lower it but i want something like what sportcoupe is talking about so can somebody help

I'd stay away from Tein springs (both H and S) for the G. Rear spring rates are way too low

Nothing wrong wrong with the 350z H's, though. They just made the G versions too soft.

ummm I'll ask again cuz I need an answer by this afternoon.
Does it matter or will it noticable be different if I get 350Z springs with 10k or springs with 35k on them

I'm considering doing the same thing to mine. Not sure why these threads always turn into aftermarket 350z spring discussions. Let's keep this one on topic and about OEM 350z springs only!

I don't have an answer for the mileage issue. My thoughts are that they should last for several hundered thousand miles before a difference is noticed. I have never heard of springs wearing out, but I'm not really an expert in that dept either...
