HELP! there's a hole in my tire :(

im driving home.. all of a sudden i smell burnt rubber.. i was running on a flat for about a mile till i got home. i took the tire off too see a gaping whole about 3 inches wide. this sucks.. theres no way im gonna drive around with an ugly spare tire.
my two questions:
1. is the tire fixable? i would take pictures but i dont have a camera handy at the time. the hole is in the back of the tire about 3 inches all around.
2. the car is still jacked.. is it ok if it on the jack for a couple days?

:( :( :(

Gaping hole of 3" wide?? that's a huge hole!! where is the hole, are you saying that there is a 3" long slit on the tread of tire or a 3" diameter HOLE?
Either way it sounds like too big of a hole and unable to plug it. (you can plug a tire twice, but must be in a different quadrant. Plug is a fix for a nail/screw punctures)
Also our tires are designed with reinforced sidewall for the stiffness, but if you drive on it inflated less than I think 18psi, it damages the side wall, and is not repairable. Our G has tire pressure sensor that beep and warning lights at less than 28psi, did you keep riding it after it warned?
Anyways, you should take it to a tire store.

Sounds too big to fix...ask a local tire place...just call them and explain the hole.

i actually never seen the tire pressure light go off
see the problem was that there was a leak in the tire for about a month
every 1-2 weeks the tire would reach about 20 psi, then i would put it back into 35 psi. but i never saw that light or warning come on.

that helps a lot, thanks

i hope my rim isnt damaged!!!!!!!!!!!
