Eibach Sedan Springs installed on Coupe. Q's...
 

I just put on my 20" Maido GR5 wheels on my Black Coupe. I also have the Eibach Pro kit installed. Now I was told by Vick at Discount Tire in El Monte that he was installing the Eibach Springs made for the Coupe. I specifially waited because he said two months ago that the Coupe springs were not released by Eibach yet. Well I got them installed and they look great. I talked with a friend when I got them installed and he said (this was a month ago) that he had talked with a rep at Eibach and the springs were not released yet. He asked me to tell him the code on the Eibach box. I told him this and it turns out that Vick from Discount Tire in El Monte sold and installed the Sedan Springs. I'm pretty upset, but can anyone here tell me if there really is a big difference between the coupe and the sedan springs? Need some advice on this one.

Eibach 350Z spring rates front 296/384 rear 316/421
Eibach G35 sedan front 259/334 rear 359/413

I called awhile back and got the above spring rate info from Eibach. I haven't called them yet to find out the rate info on the coupe springs. Frankly, I doubt they'd be very different from the sedan application, since the Z runs much stiffer valving in it's struts. I'd also want to know the free length of the coupe springs vs the Z springs Hey, on that thought, did they lower the car, around 1" ? You really should call Eibach, and ask them what the coupe spring rates are.

bleh that sucks. I would go back and have them give you the right part and have them install them. What a waste of time. I'm upset for you.

Post some pics or email them to me. I'm curious how it turned out. You back should be lower than mine assuming the springs are the same as the coupe.

Do you live in the LA area? Just wondering, want to see if there really is a difference? I hate to have my wheels taken off by the people that have to eat the cost of used Eibach Springs.

You are lucky, Wreck does live in the L.A. area. You can tell by clicking on his user name. Please keep posting the results as I am in the market for a set of Eibachs also and so am very curious about the difference. Hope this helps and thanks.

Ok, I just called Eibach and they told me you called today and I answered my own question above. The front was lowered nicely, but the rear really wasn't. I also now have the Eibach coupe spring rates. Here's a recap
Eibach 350Z rates front 296/384 rear 316/421
Eibach G35 sedan front 259/334 rear 359/413
Eback G35 coupe front 229/337 rear 274/463

Check out the much softer initial rates they gave the coupe, looks like a hard play on ride quality. A coupe on sedan eibachs would be more responsive. But I also see why you rear end didn't lower much.
