Toyo's too loud
I have Toyo T1s tires (245 & 275/35-19) on my G. They have gotten loud as hell. I have about 10k miles on them. I looking for some replacements for them but I need some tires that are much quieter. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I think the newer T1R's are supposed to be quieter than the T1S....

All directional tires heel and feather to varying degrees.
The very process [notch tuning] used to cancel noise on new tires creates the opposite effect after the 8,000 mile optimization point. |
Yeah got the same problem with mine.

performance tires are all pretty noisy after they wear.

It took a heck of an engineer to figure how many more tires could be sold at a higher price if the industry persuaded the public that directional tires were better than non directional tires [which could be easily rotated to counterwear the feathering].
Almost as bad as the ethanol from corn boondoggle which cost the driving public about the same as directional tires..........$500+ per year EXTRA. |
Is there a quieter brand out there?

To solve the directional tire dilemma:
Take tires off the front wheels. Put them back on the opposite wheel. Ethanol: The biggest reason that ethanol WILL become a common fuel for automobiles is not emissions, or cost.......... It is because it is a RENEWABLE resource, unlike oil. |
