Re: 20's on COUPE!
I have 255/35/20's all around so that i could rotate wheels. Tire sidewall isn't too small or too large

Volk does not make a 20" Wheel. His are 19's.

Re: 20's on COUPE!
I don't mean to hijack the thread but I have a question for those of you brave G owners that go with 20's.
Do you guys realize that when it's time to buy new tires you're gonna have to dish out a bunch of $bens$?!? I'm just asking cuz I've been thinking about getting new wheels (not even 20's, 19 is as big as I'll go). And this is the only thing stopping me right now. I mean even with the factory 18's the tires are not cheap, can't imagine having to buy 20's ever so often (considering wear and tear and whatever happens to the tire on the road). Plus if something happens to one you have to buy that one plus the one from the other side to keep the car symetrical. Again, this is just a question that I've had in my head for a while now. Re: 20's on COUPE!
You've thrown off the stagger which was built into our cars, for proper handling of all the electronics - VDC, slip control, ABS, proper distribution of weight under braking and etc. I'm not sure what else. I do always drive with VDC off, but I do think that maintaning the stagger is important. It's about an inch different between the front and the rear. Stock ODs are:
Front - 25.8" Rear - 26.8" Yours - 27" all around. Lou |
Re: 20's on COUPE!
i went with 245 35 20 all around so i could rotate. personally i think the car handles better with 20's but that could just be me.

Did you know that Michelin tires are very expensive. I would go with some Yoko's or something like that. They are way cheaper. |
Re: 20's on COUPE!
gtorres44: the price difference isn't really that much when your talking 19's and 20's...check it out www.onlinetires.com sh!t some 19in tires are even more expensive

Re: 20's on COUPE!
Yeah I now the michelling tires are $$$$ and Nismoboy; you're right about the price difference really being not that much. I guess I just freaked when I saw some of the prices for tires for the 20's.
Now to decide on some wheels. Thanks for the replies. Resume the thread. Expect the unexpected when you least expect it. Blk on Blk http://jabberwoq.com/images/emoticons/xbones.gif |

Re: 20's on COUPE!
to be honest with you the best tires for the money are probably the Falken GRB FK-451 you can find on www.onlinetires.com you can probably get all four tires for under $900 shipped, like 255/35/20 front and 285/30/20 rears...FYI if you put 20's up front its gonna be hard to match the exact diameter of the stock wheels/tires...you need a 245/30/20 to be exact but not many tires in that size out there...i think www.tirerack.com has like one tire in that size and i think its a lil more pricey
