question for BC Racing owners...when adjusting the height on the front coils, in my case raising it, is there a cutoff point where you cannot raise it anymore or will you continue to thread it until it comes apart...i bought my set used so i don't have any instructions to go by

I love this thread. Extremely helpful, but unfortunately very few members posting pics. One picture worth a 1000 words.
Would like to see more/hear more from Stance owners and GReddy and HKS.

I HAVE A MOD BUG!!!

^This.
I assumed that BC was the best for my application but some of the stuff I'm hearing makes me question it.

Also, The comments about damper adjustability access are handy, but any chance of including HEIGHT adjustment? I know there's quite a few different set ups, some requiring you to actually remove the lower mount just to adjust height and spinning the whole lower assembly.

Very happy to see this thread though great work Blain! There's a lot of options for the G it's awesome! I want something close to stock ride quality but at least 2.5" of drop, prefer 3" capability. The biggest thing is I'm gonna run this in the winter so I need to jack it back up too. The BC's don't have the range I'd like it seems.
Any comments on ride directly compared to stock as far as smoothness? Which CO's fit this category? Seems the Tanabe Pro 5 might be on the list of potentials as well?

For those that missed it and are asking about BC's: https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-...te-review.html

No one reviewed the Bilsteins PSS9 yet?.. still trying to decide between them and the Tanabe Pro Fives. Would like more opinions on both setups. I'm looking mainly for comfort and longevity. Price is irrelevant between the two for me. Anyone?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Can't report on the Bilsteins but I've been running the Pro5s for 15,000 miles or more and still love them. Very comfortable ride and easy adjustments on the dampening and the lowering. To a man, all of my friends that have ridden in my car comment on how well these coils ride. I would buy another set of these in a heartbeat.

Yeah Blue, I saw that you liked them in a couple of different threads. Your the one that got me lookin' into 'em. I appreciate your input. What do you have yours set to? Trying to get feedback from others with that setup also. I'm really goin' for somewhat of plush ride (for a sports coupe). Women get in this car too, lol. Last thing I want is a car that looks hot and rides like crap.

Wish the Tanabes had a longer warranty (compare to Bilstein Lmtd. Lifetime). The 1yr warranty has me wondering. I've found that companies generally give parts a warranty the length of their expected life to minimize business expenses.

Anyone look into rebuild costs, downtime on these things?

ARK OEM coilovers

Coilover: ARK DT-P Coilovers is the track version of the ARK ST-P's (street version)
Style: OEM
Spring Rate: 12 front/10 rear
Drop potential: Can't slam the rear with the coupe (see pics below) but the front can go pretty low (had another inch or so to drop on fronts)
Adjustability: Fronts easy access for dumpering with open hood. Rear must be removed for damper adjustments. Compression adjustment, like any other coilovers.
Stiffness: Compared to OEM: stiffer, as needed for the drop (16 adjustable settings)
Harshness: Compared to OEM: depending on the damper adjustment. Wouldn't call it harsh, or spine crushing even on the hardest setting.
Price point: New $1700 and used $900

So I decided to go with the bilsteins. Reviews, warranty, serviceability, and price point had me sold.. Already got the fronts installed, just need to do the rear. So far the ride (comfort) set to full soft is slightly better than stock. Even my woman noticed a little difference. I'm likin' it! I'll post up in a week or so when I can give a full review.

If anyone wants to know anything about BC racing coils. I got them and they are pretty effing awesome.

I have a coupe btw.

I switched from MDU coilovers and the difference was night and day!!!!!!

The dampening on these are freaking awesome. It has a 30 point adjustablility which is more than enough! Having it on full stiff feels like my back is going to break, BUT having it on full soft feels really smooth and softer than OEM suspension. Im riding it on 18 stiffness all around because of my drop and it feels good.

Height wise, depending on the spring you get in the rear (210mm or 230mm) allows the car to go lower or not. It can only be assembled in the spring bucket so you cannot convert the coils to true style. Overall, the car can be slammed but I dont think it can hit the frame like the other coilover setups we have.

Issues, so far the coils havent given me a problem. No noise or knocks or whatever. I have to say its a solid suspension. I love it! If i had to do everything over again, I wouldnt have bought my MDU coils and just save another 400 to get BCs.

I have BC coilovers but I bought the car with them so I haven't adjusted the height of them since I owned it. Compared to other G35 I have rode in with the dampening on soft it is slightly more harsh than a stock ride but on firm it gets really stiff. Again I haven't tried to adjust them but on the threads for adjustment they are sitting a little over halfway up the middle so it looks like it has much more room to drop lower, my front tire scrubs as it is if driving aggressive and I hit a dip now though.
