Can my 03 G35 stick beat a 13 Mazda Speed 3 hatchback stick?
My buddy bought a brand new 13 Mazda speed 3, and he claims that he doesn't want to race me because he knows he'll beat so its pointless to race. I tell him to prove himself and he makes up excuses. Can a Mazda really beat my G? He says he beat an M3 and an s2k but I don't believe it. I know the Mazda has a turbo and all that but can he really beat me in a race? Who would win and how close would it be? And no this isn't street racing its track

Bench racing is pointless. If you really want to know then go race. Although its best to do it in a controlled environment like a TRACK, where the driver's ability to handle their car becomes the most important factor.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
OP please make sure you aren't discussing street racing as it's against the rules. Hopefully you're talking about taking it to the track and if so, all is well.
On another note, why would you care who's faster?

They both have similar HP and Torque outputs, but im guessing the speed3 is lighter than the G. So by that logic, he could beat you if his car has a better HP/weight ratio.. but it also depends on driver experience.

depends, 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile?
I was at Irwindale (1/8 track) a few months ago and all of the G's I've seen there had zero chance. Wasn't even close. We lost to a civic hatch, a sti, and a ****ing truck. Don't remember what truck it was, but it was black, low, and looks a bit sporty.
Maybe on the 1/4 you'll have a better chance. But I wouldn't bet money on it. Especially if you're running an automatic with acceleration lag.
Honestly, the G Sedan has a better chance than us coupe driver.
