Tell your buddy his car is FWD.

That should put things into perspective.

I have a 03 G35 6MT sedan (lighter than coupe) with bolt-ons (plenum spacer, revup airbox, drop-in, hr y-pipe, test pipes, Megan OE RS exhaust) and a tune. I also have a AP2 S2k. I have owned a e36 and e46 m3.

I have several friends with Speed3s in various states of tune.

The AP2 is the slowest out of the bunch. It's probably about as fast as a stock MS3 from a roll.

My G35 is significantly faster than a stock MS3.

The E46 M3 is faster than the G35 and MS3.

The E36 M3 (cammed high compression) is faster than the stock E46 M3.

The Speed3 is torque limited in first and second. It shouldn't be a problem to take him from a dig.

I've raced more MS3's than I can remember at the track. I've never had a problem with them. They have serious issues at launch and with wheel hop.

There is virtually no difference between coupe/sedan at the drag strip. It's all in the driver. Take it from someone that actually goes to the track.

I remember the days when I actually cared about how quick my car was vs car X,Y, and Z.

Now...I seem to care about my golf handicap more. I'm old

I care more about looks now and reliability, there's always someone faster than you, someone retarded always trying to race our cars . Remember our cars are 10 years old, technology has significantly improved, Accords, Camrys etc now pushing as much if not more hp than our cars Hyundai makes 400hp sedans, if we can keep up with technology 10 years ahead I say we drive pretty damn good cars. When speed was important to me I have walked a MS3 and SS Chevy truck and other cars ( controlled environment ) ( bolt ons of course )

I really don't care much about the speed as much as how fun I like to drift in my G. And the look is a panty dropper in many cases too. That's why I love my G. Lol

There's a reason you weren't invited to Tokyo Drift.
