Hello everyone!

I've been into a car accident last month, so I had to replace a radiator. While doing so, some of the transmission fluid leaked. So I bought Universal Matic-J ATF fluid and added to the tranny. Is that fine? Yes, manual says only use authentic nissan oil, but I heard that other ones work fine too.

Your thoughts?

PS: Car still acts a bit funny (with shifting gears) every time I drive it. Should I just dump an old oil and do complete refill?

for 140$ ish nissan will use the extractor machine to get all the fluid out .. its beautiful ... i'd recommend that.

 

Yeah, and the full service would cost me around 400$. That's a lot.

that is the full service .. it includes the fluid too.

granted im not sure where your located .. but my nissan dealer charged me 140 after taxes for the whole thing .. i think it was 8 quarts of fluid, and they even let me come back in the shop to see the fluid being pulled from my car *it was stinky*

 

That's what I heard, lol. I gave them a call and left a message, will see what they say. Also, my question was different :P
