Looking at purchasing an '07 or '08 x sedan

I'm in the market for a new car, was deciding between the BMW 335i, Lexus IS350 or G35X.

I cut the 335i off the list because of reliability issues and narrowed it down between the Lexus and Infiniti. I decided on the G35X because the Lexus IS350 doesn't come in AWD.

So a few questions, I have read up on a few things and it seems like it would be a great buy. now the questions I are...,

What should I look for while test driving?
How does the AWD system stand up, any issues?
Anything else I over looked ? ( i read about the brake issues and hard shifting which is normal)

08 has two advantages. Better iPod / iPhone integration. Still need an 5v adapter though. And better tranny shifting. Although that was fixed with an software update on the 07.
More common problems on both are wheel bearings going out prematurely and potentially a small seal going bad in the engine.
