Is it worth adding an aftermarket exhaust when stock we sound better than Ferrari?

I'll be the first to admit that most exotics and semi-exotics like Ferrari's, Lambos, 911s, etc. can sound a bit mechanical, raspy, and crackley during part-throttle driving. This is largely due to their odd firing orders, aggressive deep breathing cams, and thin-walled, lightweight exhaust parts. However, under full throttle, these cars sound amazing compared to most anything out there. The G and Z do have a nice warble at part-throttle and a decent wail under full throttle of which no other V6 manufactuer has managed to obtain. But I'm not going to kid myself that my sexy sounding G sedan has the vocal cords of a Ferrari at full tint.

My all time favorite is the V10/V12 in the Gallardo and Murcielago. Modern Murcielago is the BEST(for me anyway). At low RPMs its as quiet at our Gs at 1500RPMs or the 360 with stock exhaust(inside) cruising...but rev that baby and WOW!! It's sounds mean like an animal and if you got a chatty passenger....you won't hear a peep outta them!
The reality of exotics is quite different from the fantasies they create in the minds of the public. Don't get me wrong, those cars are awesome, but if you ever have the pleasure of owning or driving them you will appreciate that the G is really an awesome car for the price. In fact a guy who lives near me has 4-5 Ferrari cars but I bet you he is rockin the Infiniti today and frankly most days. Also a high ranking person at Lamborghini drives an Audi(personal car), NOT a lambo. There are so many ways that the G is better(other than performance and looks of course). To name one, after driving around all day in cars where you sit on the floor basically, the G feels like a couch. I've also never hurt my back in a G. If I were to sell all my vehicles and be forced to spend a million on cars. I would buy:
[Ordered by how much I love them]
Lotus Exige S
Lamborghini LP670SV
2011 Daytona 675R
2011 ZX10R
Ariel Atom
Audi R8 Spyder
Maserati Gran Tourismo
G35 6MT or the G37 Convertible(if it's 6MT)
Whatever money is left would be kept to maintain the higher-end cars. Especially the Maserati and Maybe the SV. On most days, I would be driving the G and STILL loving it. It's no Lambo, but it's great for what it is. A great looking reliable, comfortable high performance luxury sport coupe!
The grass on the other side is not always quite what it seems!

AGAIN...those cars are either NOT STOCK 360 Modenas or they are NOT 360 Modenas at all. I would guess that I probably have a bit more first hand experience with exotics than you, so I just may know what I'm talking about. Also again, DID you listen to the video?

BTW...the 360 in the video sounds BETTER in the video cause the mike is almost inside the exhaust. LOL. In person, you can barely hear it and WOT it sounds like it's gonna break.
This thread is a strong demonstration of how perception many times is stronger than reality. I LIVE exotics. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement. 8C, 550-2, LP640 Roadster, 458 Italia, 360 Modena, 430...I know these cars intimately from first hand experience, NOT from watching some random car drive by a couple years ago or even yesterday.
I'm doing a video right now to compare the sound between G and Ferrari 360. I will let people vote on which sounds best.
Get this...Ferrari drivers think thier exhaust sucks, but the G35 drivers refuse to accept that thier cars sound better STOCK! That is the power of Ferrari marketing! Ferrari is basically an iPod on wheels. The word "cult" comes to mind. Me...I'm Lambos and Gs ALL DAY!! I'm sure nobody on the G site would agree with me though. LOL
