Worked like a charm!
Today I changed my cabin filter and intake filter. Afterward, the air bag light came one. I took everything back apart thinking that maybe I forgot to plug something in. After several hours of checking and double checking I gave up and called the dealer to schedule an appt. Then I found this thread and I tried the second method....problem solved. Thanks!

I did the OP's method and it worked first try.
My question is, if there is a real problem with the airbag system, this indicator light will still light up right? This reset function won't cause the system to "relearn" it's sensors or ignore tripped or faulty sensors that originally caused the indicator light to illuminate?

this is a little easier
To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away

Airbag light blinking
-----------------------------------------------------------
This method worked for me too, thanks ! I recenty had to have the drivers seat removed on my '04 G35 sedan to replace the tracks & plastic gears because the seat would not move up anymore. Gear on right side was stripped. Once the seat was replaced & installed the light started blinking.

They told me I probably had the key in accessory mode and the radio on, and I pulled the seat to clean the carpets (which I think is true)
This thread just savced me $120 from the dealership.
I think i'm going to buy a Premium Membership from the savings on this thread alone.

Thanks for the quick & easy fix! (Hope it stays fixed). My light started flashing for no reason at all. Hadn't done anything to the car recently. My dealer told me it would cost $120 to diagnose, and then a MINIMUM of $800-$1200 to fix the problem. He also said that once the light starts flashing, the system thinks the bags have been deployed, and they won't work now in an accident.
So far, I haven't seen an answer to the question several people have asked about....
ARE MY AIRBAGS IN WORKING ORDER NOW since I reset the light?? Does anyone know?
Thanks for all your posts!!
