NISMO Clutch, Flywheel, Bearing, etc.

I guess I'll go ahead and put this here and make it the start of my review thread.

Just got my NISMO clutch (disc and pressure plate), NISMO flywheel, NISMO roller-bearing, Nissan throw-out bearing and the SGP ss-braided clutch line in today.

First of all, the flywheel box is pretty F'n heavy. I had to unwrap it to make sure that it's the NISMO flywheel and not just the OEM one. Sure enough, NISMO is stamped on the center, along with the manufacturer's logo. It is, indeed, an Exedy flywheel. I'm sure NISMO probably dictated the specs. It will be intersting to see how it's performance compares with the OEM flywheel. FWIW, I didn't want to go too light, in order to minimize the negetive aspects of a super-lightweight flywheel. In addition, I hope to eventually add a CF driveshaft to lighten things up further, without trying to drop all of that weight just from the flyweel. Hopefully these two items will work together as well as I anticipate.

The NIMSO bearing is a very small item. I had to open it to make sure that it did, in fact, have roller-bearings along the inside diameter. It does. I'm not sure how much of an effect this will have, but I imagine making improvements everywhere possible will provide for an overall smoother and easier operation/feel.

I believe the pressure plate is also manufactured by Exedy.

The clutch disc has NISMO stamped on the center-section, but there are two Valeo logos on the friction material itself.

That's all I can really offer prior to installation. I also wanted to give you all the oportunity to ask any questions about these items that would have to be answered before they are installed. If so, ask while the parts are still in boxes behind me and it's easy for me to get the answer for you.

Of course, I will update this thread with my impressions as soon as all of this is installed. I'm not in a huge hurry (I have 3K miles on the G), so it might be a month before they're installed.

I don't have a camera handy to take pics, but you can always see pics at most sites that sell these parts.

I got these items (as well as StopTech SS-braided brake lines f=$85 & R=$65) from SGP in Houston. I'm in Texas so, unfortunately, I also paid tax in addition to shipping. TOTAL was about $1290, but $96 of that was TAX and $29 was SHIPPING.

It has, hasn't it. Actually, the OEM clutch is holding in there still... ...but I was just thinking this morning that it's going to be time soon. I'm only at 4K miles, so despite the bad feel I'm sure I've got even more time. But I might get it in soon so it will be past break-in by the time it starts getting cold around here.
