Exclamation Raffle Ticket Rules and Guidelines (Updated)

OK, after quite a few good suggestions about the raffle for the "All Florida Meet" I've decided to make a few changes to better benefit BOTH the club members and the club.

The following are the FINAL RULES for the raffle. The FLORIDA G35 CLUB website will be updated to include this information shortly.

Raffle Details:

Raffle tickets will also be sold the day of the event for $11 each. You must be present at the time the raffle is held to be able to win any of the promotional items offered by our sponsors. Each FLORIDA G35 CLUB Charter Member in attendance will receive one "free" raffle ticket as a part of their club membership. Each club member will be able to choose which item they would like to win. Even though raffle tickets will be on sale at the event I'm requesting that people purchase them in advance to help the clubs finances become better established. To purchase tickets in advance simply go to Florida G35 Club website and click on NEXT MEET. Click on "Paypal Raffle Ticket Money..." and in the memo section of the paypal window specify the amount of raffle tickets that you would like to purchase.

At the event you will be allowed to put your ticket (or tickets if you purchased extras) into the "prize bowl" (or "prize bowls") of your choice. There will be one "prize bowl" designated for each major prize offered in the raffle. There is no limit on the number of tickets a person can buy, however only one major prize per person will be allowed. This means that if someone really wanted to win a Satellite Radio for example, they could purchase 20 tickets in advance and put all 20 of their tickets into the Satellite Radio "prize bowl" (PLUS their one free club member ticket) for a total of 21 tickets in the Satellite Radio "prize bowl". If one person were lucky enough to win 2 major prizes, they would be able to keep the major prize of their choice, return the second major prize and select one of the other prizes that will be available during the raffle. The "other prizes" will be announced very soon.

As of today the major prizes include...

*Lokey Infiniti will be donating either a FACTORY Satellite Radio System (or) a Factory Rear Spoiler for a G35 - winner's choice!

*There will also be (2) package prizes (that are considered major prizes) which have donated by KP Technologies. Each package prize will include... (1) Remote Window Roll Up Module with optional automatic door lock feature and (1) Traction Control Module and FREE INSTALLATION by SFLG35 (Daniel) who is the Florida Rep. for KP Technologies.

*Update as of 1-6-2005: There will be another major prize offered in the raffle.
ISI has generously donated 1 free Clear Bra kit for any model G35. The winner will have to pay a $200 installation fee (taxes and travel to the winners house are included!) The installer is none other than ALAN SELIGMAN. He has installed 3 club members c-bras to date and is BY FAR the best c-bra installer in Florida. The kit will be a pattern designed by InvinciShield (the same kit that I have on my car) and Alan will travel to MIAMI or Tampa or Jacksonville (or where ever) to do the install if needed. The kit will include:
(1) Hood Piece
(1) Full Front Bumper
(2) "End Caps" which are the Front Fender portions
(2) "Mirror Caps" which go over the side view mirrors
*Update as of 1-10-2005:...Blue Batmobile has generously donated 2 complete vehicle vinyl overlay kits good for either a Sedan or a Coupe!

Each complete car kit includes:
(2) corner clearance light overlays
(2) head light overlays
(2) full tail light overlays
(1) 3rd brake light overlay

*Update as of 1-12-2005: Go ahead and add a FREE CRAWFORD PLENUM to the raffle ticket list. That's right!!! And it will be the LATEST VERSION of the Plenum. (Exact details cannot be released but those of you waiting for the APS solution might be in for one heck of a treat!)

*Update as of 1-20-2005: The South Florida people are really going to like the latest club sponsor... Creative Carz has generously donated TWO complete car HUPER OPTIK 30% window tint jobs! Located in SFL, Creative Carz sells aftermarket rims, window tinting, body kits and many other G35 related accessories. This means that 2 lucky FGC members will each be winning a free Huper tint job with a retail value ~$300 EACH!

"Other Prizes" will include (not a complete listing)

(1) Zaino "donation package", which includes Z1, Z2, Z6 and Z7 along with one applicator pad.
(1) Crawfordzcar Billet Oil Cap

Please remember that all of the time and hard work to establish and run the FLORIDA G35 CLUB and the "All Florida Meet" will be done on a 100% volunteer basis. The extra money from the membership dues and the raffle ticket sales will be put into the club account and will be used for holding future events and helping to establish the club. Please consider purchasing additional raffle tickets to help support this club. Remember, only Great people can make a Great car club!

Thanks for reading...

Currently the Florida G35 Club is running a promotional offer to generate ticket sales. The offer is...

7 Raffle tickets for $52.50

This offer will be for a limited time only and you can put the tickets into any of the "prize bowls" of your liking while you're at the event. Thanks again for your support.

Great plan. I'll start it off and be in for an extra raffle ticket. (Maybe not my last.)

No but Alan can make those "custom" for a small fee. Just for fun, do a google search for "Alan Seligman" and see what comes up!

Ok guys. Lets get things rolling and I'll lead the way. I just sent in the $52.50 for the raffle. I don't really need the spoiler / sat radio / zaino / clear bra / oil cap but would like to have a great car G35 club. It’s the least I can do to show my appreciation to Neff & Co. who have put in a lot of time and effort to make this work for US. I'm excited about this and look forward to meeting everyone.

ps. Neff, in another thread, you mention an expense of hiring an attorney to obtain the LLC or whatnot. Though I only practice civil litigation, I will be more than willing to do what I can for you guys. My firm has the ability to do it and it’s a matter of getting the paperwork together. The club will have to pay costs of course (such as state application fees and such), but I can do the legal work for free. That should help alleviate some costs. Maybe my firm can even get a little spot on the T-shirt Either way, let me know.

Thanks again guys and gals for all the hard work you are doing.

Jason, we DEFINITELY need to talk. I've been told that lawyers actually do "pro-bono" work each year, in order to keep their license with the FL Bar Association up to date. If someone from your law firm were to set things up for us, I would not only pay the fees, but we would have to figure something else out as well. I have a few plans, but don't want to give away all of my ideas just yet.

Feel free to call me on my cell phone. If you don't have the #, send me a PM and I'll give it to you offline.

Oh, and "you're welcome".

Actually, you were the first person to take advantage of the 7 tickets for $52.50 offer, therefore you got an extra ticket! The appropriate smiley face would be...

I fixed my previous post to be more accurate.

As for the legal side, pro bono work is not required to keep your license. Thats why its still hard to get us lawyers to do free work. The Bar only recommends we do it or just donate some money. I will gladly set up what I can. We would obviously want a not-for-profit corporation set up. When I go to work tomorrow, I'll figure out what the costs will be.

Jason
