The first ever Lakeland WFL/CFL Mini Meet was a huge success! At least I had a good time and I think most everyone else had a good time too!

We followed the usual rituals. Drive up, park, quick greets and then clean up the bugs and grime that collected on your G35 on the trip to the Meet. If you look closely, you can see that we shamed Wes into cleaning up his car too. It looked great, as usual!



The gang from St. Petersburg and Tampa arrived in their caravan. I understand thatthere was some "creative passing" done by Dan and Noah along the way. Why is everyone crowded around Bill's car? More later...



After the cleanup and short shooting-the-breeze period, we adjourned to dinner at Don Pablos Restaurant. Happily Jason was able to attend, as he and Noah were instrumental in choosing Don Pablo's for this Meet.

Clockwise around the table, starting with Bill (Ferk) in the blue shirt, we have Steve's Wife, Steve (Aznluder), me (_jb (John)), Noah's wife, Noah (Foo_G), Wes (daBomb), Dan (SFLG35), Chucky (Chucky), Jason (almost cut out of the picture(vrsc)), Sean (Gilley), Sean's wife, Ahmed (Geioushi), Jose's friend, and Jose (dream_G35).



Ahmed is interested in photography, so we put him to work. He took a great picture of Noah and his wife.



I'm not sure what's going on here. It looks like Chucky is going to do a standoff with Steve's car???



And now we find out what the croud gathered around Bill's car for. Bill installed a brand new, polished CrawfordZ Plenum. It is gorgeous! He even managed to sneak the plenum on without telling me... and my office is six feet from Bill's office. Good work, Bill!



We got our first look at Ahmed's new G35 Coupe. It is absolutely gorgeous! The wheels are stunning... I know someone that has been lusting after those wheels for quite a while.




The end of another fun meet. If you haven't ever come out to a meet, you should. They're lots of fun and you'll meet some nice people... Just don't try to keep up with Dan on your first trip back to Tampa.

It was great to finally meet a lot of the members for the first time. I had a great time...especially the ride over there I agree, I think Lakeland is a great spot to meet and really wasn't too far. I hope to make it to the next one too.

I had a wonderful time!! Glad I was able to attend, sorry I wasn't able to drive the G so that everyone could check out the lowered suspension but atleast my big truck got in the photo

 

i think i saw this car in ft lauderdale bout a month or so ago, or at least one that looked like it

Yes, Jason got cut out of the pic and Alan showed up about 2hrs late, just in time for Chuck's round 4-5

 

I couldn't tell if Jason got cut off the edge of the photo or if he had already left. I remember he left a bit early. Actually, I think you can just barely see the right side of his face in the photo. I'll edit the picture text to add him (so that future generations of FGC'ers will have an accurate recording of the meeting.)
