Based out of St. Petersburg, Florida, is Custom Crafted Cars (CCC) who are offering up this G35 based successor to the internet infamous (and Jared Leto Joker driven) Vaydor. That successor to that car is known as the Volant and comes in a sharpened body with a “Formula-1 inspired” suspension system. The President of the company Melvin Juarbe has said that he’s always wanted to build a legit supercar of his own so that has led him to this newest creation.

Now for those who might initially write this off as a re-bodied Vaydor would be completely wrong.  The Volant will carry its engine behind the cabin making it a true mid-engine racer with a carbon fiber body and a top-notch pushrod-style suspension. The engine will be a tuned supercharged LT4 V8 out of a C7 z06 Corvette. That engine will be mated to a 6-speed Mendola sequential transmission sending power to a rear-wheel setup.

CCC states that the Volant will be capable of a 0-60 time of 3 seconds flat with a top speed over 225mph. What goes up must come down and each car will come with a set of beefy Brembo brakes sitting behind DPE forged wheels.

CCC doesn’t have any renders of what the interior of the Volant will be like but said that there will be a “Tesla-esque” center infotainment center and a digital Merc style instrument cluster. Other creature comforts include a 360 vehicle camera system, heated seats, and a WiFi connection. “This Volant will be unlike anything else on the road,” Juarbe said in a statement. “Each one will be hand-built and customized to the owner’s specifications. Our goal is to provide unparalleled performance and a luxury experience from American builders and designers.”

Pricing on the Volant is set at $250,000 with no prospective date on when deliveries will start to be made.
