Ok, since it's may already, what's the deal with meeting spots to leave together? I'm in North Jersey, 10 min from NYC, so I'm down to leave from here or NYC area. Let me know who's going from here so I don't have to drive there by myself.

Latest Meet Information
Effective 1 PM, Friday

Due to the inclement weather conditions on Saturday, we urge you to use your best judgement on whether or not it will be safe for you to venture out to the Cape Meet. We would rather not have someone get hurt as a result of the meet. The predictions are calling for 3-6 inches of rain along with a pretty strong wind and coastal flooding.

Unfortunately, we expect attendence to be very low and we made no severe weather contingency plans at this time. We have no way of contacting all of the greater than 100 people that were planning on attending this meet to tell them not to come so we (the meet organizers) are still committed to being at the meet point.

If we do experience torrential downpours as the weather services are predicting and attendence is low, all of the meet events will have to be cancelled and need to be rescheduled at a later date. We will probably end up going to a restaurant and having a lobster lunch with anyone that still shows up by noontime.

Seacrest Hotel Cancellation Information
Seacrest has really stepped up to the plate as far as their cancellation policy. You can cancel your reservation and they will only charge you a $15 cancellation fee!. We urge you to call them at 800-225-3110 ASAP if you need to cancel your reservation.. Usually, the Hotel policy is to not allow any cancellations within 2 weeks of the reservation date.

We are really sorry the weather turned out the way it did..

Mike,
I will still be there tomorrow. I live on the cape (about 15 minutes from the meet site) and it is already pouring here. Looking at the rain radar it looks as though the worst of it might pass over us tonight, although that is not what the weather is calling for. Nonetheless, hopefully a good amount of people show up and we can still have a good time.

see you there! The latest forecast looks like the cape will be missing the brunt of the rain.. wouldn't that be a b1tch if the sun came out in the afternooon

19 Z's and G's showed up in some horrible conditions.. + 2 more that just missed us by about 15 mins.. This was out of an expected 140 cars

Thank's so much to all the people that attended and to all the sponsors that donated items for the raffle and the auction.. we ended up raising a nice sum of money due to the generousity of many people!!
