2007 Sport Sticker (Picture)

Picture of the sticker, although as you'll see it's a "sample" so no pricing yet. Took it this morning while I was having my oil changed. Taken on my camera phone so please excuse the slight blurriness. My first time seeing the car in person.

Interesting, it says that the 9.5gb music harddrive has the gracenote CD database. I guess this means it is preloaded with a CDDB to identify artist, song, etc. information. Can read about them at www.gracenote.com

Wonder if the updates will be freely availble, or have to pay...

This says "Compact flash slot for playing mp3 files". Doesn't say anything about being able to load mp3's from the cf card onto the hard disk. If we can't do this you can only get music into the database from a CD and not load music you downloaded to your PC, which would suck!

^^^^^ I will be happy when I find out once and for all if you can play MP3s from the CF card, rip MP3s from the CF card....or both!!

it's 9.3 GB to be more accurate...

yes you can record your music from your CD's (can't copy MP3 data disks though), you can record onto the hard drive also from the CF drive MP3's straight on a total of 2,999 songs!

i love the touch screen

Trunk Mounted CD changer

9.5GB Music Hard Drive w/Gracenote CD Database
(replaces in-dash CD-6 w/Trunk Mount 6-disc CD changer)

I just noticed that. Well, maybe a hard drive in the dash with most/all of your music outweighs the inconvenience of stopping the car to change a CD in the trunk.

Imagine your 9.5GB of MP3s, then another 4.2GB of MP3s in your trunk (6 x 700MB). And lastly, your single-CD slot in the dash, that's a total of 14.4GB!

Don't forget the compact flash card slot. Get a couple of 4GB cards, and you are good to go.

Not sure if you can really play MP3 files off of a CD, but that would be nice.

And your explorer actually achieves those ratings?
