Stolen: 19" OEM Rays (2) curbed - SOCAL
I had a set of 19" OEM Rays (no tires or center caps) stolen
from my carport on 3rd and La Brea in Los Angeles sometime between 9/30/2010 and 10/6/2010. 2 of the wheels have big curb damage, all of them are water spotted/stained. They were boxed in OEM boxes. Whoever stole them cut the kryptonite cable running through all of them and must have loaded them up. I'm 90% sure it was the gardeners.
If you happen to run across a pair matching the description for sale let me know. You can even have the rims after I get even with who ever stole them, I just want to know where they live so I can violate them on a much more personal level.
THX!

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear. What kryptonite cable did you have? I've been considering getting one for my bike but i'm undecided on which one to get. Been thinking about the NY chain.

I highly doubt I'll get these back, but it sure would be sweet to catch the asshat who robbed me....The building manager isn't returning my calls, strange for a guy who will call ten days to a week before rent is due to ask if I can drop off my check (tweeker style). Seems fishy, but I don't think he would have done/be smart enough to do something like this, after all he does drive a kia... by choice.
Just a standard 12' cable, laminated steel wire, its just under 1/2" thick. I would have thought it would be sufficient, but these guys were determined. You can see they tried in two different spots.
Those NYC chains look hella sturdy, but almost to heavy to comfortably lug around on your bike.

Yeah, they're quite heavy, but screw it. More of a work out lol. It's a cruiser bike anyway and I don't ride it all that much, but rather than waste gas I can ride my bike a couple miles to get small things from walmart or somethin.
