Hi! I am new to selling on the G35driver.com forums, and quite new to Infinitis in general (I just bought my coupe in Jan 2011), BUT I am an active eBay seller with 100% positive feedback (201 ratings) since October 2001 (user name: garagesalesonline01), so please feel confident about me as a seller!!!!
For sale: a nice used set of (4) wheels made by a now-defunct local California company, R2 SPORT WHEELS. Style is "DTR-3".
Front wheels: 8.5 +35
Rear wheels: 9.5 +35
These are 1-piece cast rims. The faces are bright silver with an aggressive (IMHO) 5-spoke split design that is accented with black to give the spokes a more three-dimensional look. The lips are chrome-clad and are quite large (about 2-3 fingers wide on the fronts and 4 fingers wide on the rears) for an extra-aggressive look that helps to emphasize the staggered fitment. Although I realize that the widths and offsets are nowhere near what would be considered "aggressive" for a coupe, as you can see from my oblique-angle car photos (and those are the actual rims for sale on my actual car), I think these rims look great on a G35 (in my humble opinion, LOL).
I believe the G37 and the sedan require less aggressive offsets, so I'm fairly certain (but I am by no means an expert, so I strongly recommend that you check for yourself) that these would also fit and look great on a G35 sedan or G37 coupe/sedan.
These rims were apparently designed to replicate the look of the SSR GT3 wheels. Unlike most knockoffs, however, the quality of the R2 Sport Wheels is actually quite high. The materials feel great to the touch, and the design looks quite snazzy, both on and off the car. As far as I know, these rims originally retailed for somewhere between $350-$450 EACH....so, in the neighborhood of $1600 for a set of 4.
I am selling THESE RIMS at such a low cost, however, because ONE of the lips on the driver's front wheel is slightly bent thanks to a SoCal pothole I encountered a couple of weeks back.
The bad news is that this cosmetic defect apparently CANNOT be repaired, since the lips of the rims are chrome-clad (i.e., plastic). NOTABLY, however, as far as I know from what I have been told (I took the rims to the experts out at California Chrome in Santa Clarita for an opinion and to get a repair estimate), this is merely a COMSETIC defect that does not affect the function of the wheel whatsoever--so the good news is that the rim still holds air and there is no vibration or noise coming from the wheel when you drive. It functions totally normally. Thus, although we did not spin the wheel to confirm, the personnel were fairly certain that the wheel is NOT out-of-round. I also showed the rim to Flip's Wesco in Van Nuys for a second opinion, and they agreed that the rim can't be repaired because of the chrome cladding, BUT they suggested to me that it may be possible to remove the offending lip entirely and just use the rim without the lip (which, of course, would unfortunately mean that one would also have to remove the lips on all the wheels), but there was no way to be sure how it would look without potentially ruining the wheel, so I didn't pursue that route. If you are local and wish to inspect the damage on the wheel thoroughly yourself, and/or take the rim to a wheel balancing shop for inspection, you are more than welcome to do so.
Again, let me re-emphasize that because the wheel lips are chrome-clad plastic, any damage CANNOT be reshaped or repaired, including curb rash. So, please recognize that should you incur any future additional lip damage, this will likewise be unable to be repaired. Thus, the fact of the defect described above, plus the curb rash that I had created on the other wheels (mainly on the right front passenger wheel, but some on the rear passenger wheel as well--I have a very narrow driveway that is bordered by a rock wall, and this was my first-ever experience with low-profile tires/wheels...needless to say, my hard lesson has been thoroughly learned!!!), bothered me enough to go out and purchase new forged rims.....so, this is your chance to pick up a perfectly good set of cool-looking rims for LESS THAN THE PRICE OF ONE FORGED WHEEL if one tiny cosmetic defect in one wheel lip and some light to moderate curb rash on the other lips won't bother you. :P Use these to fit a spare set of street tires, the wife's/girlfriend's car, or if you are handy, try taking the lips off and polishing the wheels and then re-sell these for much more!!!
I am asking $500 or best offer for ALL FOUR WHEELS. I will also throw in a set of chrome lug nuts (brand unknown) and matching chrome locks for these wheels, but please know that the key for the locks is missing (we ended up removing the locks with a socket wrench, so unfortunately, they're not exactly theft-proof). I can accept cash (preferred) with local pickup, but can also accept Paypal. I am also potentially willing to accept trades...let me know what you have! I am most interested in sway bars/end links, a full exhaust, and big brake kits at this point, and can add cash if needed on my end.
The wheels are located in the metro Los Angeles area (Hollywood), but I frequently travel to the inland empire, Long Beach, Chatsworth/Woodland Hills, Ventura, and the Antelope Valley (Santa Clarita), so I'm happy to meet you anywhere within 30-50 miles of central L.A. I am also willing to ship these, but please note that as cast rims, they ARE pretty heavy and would have to go in separate boxes, so the shipping costs, I imagine, would be significant....but if you're game, I'm happy to try test-packing one rim and weighing it to see how much it would be.
Just FYI, I also have a set of 4 used Hankook Ventus Evo tires to fit these wheels (245/35/19 and 275/35/19) available, so please check my other listing in this section. I am also getting rid of a bunch of other random parts (OEM front bumper in DG, Bose radio chassis, extra black grille mesh, OEM finisher, stock suspension, engine gaskets, WORK license plate frames, etc., so please feel be sure to browse my listing in the Accessories section, as well!) Thanks for looking!!!

I still can't get over how everyone I've been talking to lately is so shocked that a girl a) has a G and b) likes to mod it. I never thought liking cars was unusual, LOL.
Thankkkkkkkkkkkk you!!! Much appreciated!!
LOL, I'm trying to sell the rims, not myself.
If you buy my rims and pick them up, though, you'll get to see what I look like as a free bonus!!
