For real!!!!???

Sorry to hear about the jack move.... I was gonna jump on these and something told me to pass.. 1600 for 20 inch volks wheels, in decent condition??? Plus, his itrader.... Hmm.. Pathetic crap... Hope he gets caught up... My regards to you, and hope all works out okay.... Did you get any info from him? I always ask for a two types of I.D, or a pic of a couple household bills, after I had an experience of my own.... Was not a big purchase, but never again.. I know it may not be 100% safe, but helped me out. Real sellers, usually have no problems with verifying themselves and working with the buyer to give comfort of a smooth transaction.. And if they do have a problem with verifying, then I would just pass them by. Due to the economy taking a crap, we got a grip of scammers coming out of the woodwork. Keep us posted on the news...

I have been buying and selling on forums, ebay, etc for almost 10 years and this is the first time something like this has happened to me.

that seems a to be a little much. i understand youre dealing with a large amount of money but still. i just sold my works for quite a bit more than this deal and if the buyer had asked me for 6 points of ID like a friggin dmv, i would have simply ignored him or passed on his offer and sold them to someone else. there are plenty of other ways to secure your transaction other than name and address. even with that, who is to say the photos he sends are real or not?

This is why Non-Premier members must be a member of the site for at least 45 days and have a Post Count of 100 or more to list items.

Flyinb501, have you reported this to a Mod or Admin already?

Good ideas inda626.

I was a little skeptical going into this because of his post count and Itrader. Also, this thread:

https://g35driver.com/forums/archive...-kit-sale.html

He had a good story and seemed legit though. But against my better judgement I went ahead and made the deal. Live and learn! You just can't really trust anyone.

I did use Paypal, and I used my credit card for the funds. So I am disputing it through paypal and also disputing the charge on my credit card so I should be fine. I work too hard for my money to get d***** over by some thief.

SwivelHips, no I did not notify any mods or admins. I didn't really see the point.

swivel is right, notify some mods so they can track him down and try and get him to do the right thing or at the very least, they will close his threads and ban the ip so he cant post up anymore.

I hear ya, like I said "not 100%, and if it was too much trouble would just move on". Seen the wheels you sold, I hear ya.. But I'm sure you wouldn't have a prob in helping with the verification, right? And to all buyers who get scammed please let the mods know, for you and everyone else's sake..

It's almost tempting to make the trip... Nothing I hate more than a thief.

Yeah it should be an open and shut case for Paypal. I mean the guy has made no attempt to reply to Paypal, defend himself, or anything. I don't really see how he thinks he's going to get away with it. Won't they just go after the bank account that he withdrew the money into?

Thanks everybody for all the support. It's a shame when things like this happen. It just makes it that much tougher for the honest people to trust each other and do business.
