^^Different ways to do it, but all should work just fine.

Thanks to our fellow G members for the quick write ups on the DIY and for doing the research.

Lock your door.

Pull the door handle as if you were going to open it, then put a rolled up towel in-between the handle and the door to keep it open.

Then using the pic below as reference, use a small flathead screwdriver or what ever you have that is able to get into the space to lift the tab up. As you are lifting the tab, pull on the cover to remove it.

When you receive the part it comes attached to the mounting plate. See pic below. You are going to have to follow the same procedure to remove it from the mounting plate as you will when you take it off the car. This will give you an understanding of what you need to do on the car to remove it.

Instructions for removing driver's side keyhole cover; Give a real clean look:

1st - Locate the black cap on the inside of the driver's door (see pic)

Attachment 92497

2nd - Pop off cap; locate hex screw; difficult I know:

Attachment 92498

3rd - Use 5/32" hex rench to unscrew bolt (won't fall into door; has a saftey lip)

Attachment 92499

4th - Pop off keyhole cover (forgot to take pic); replace with new cover (also forgot to take pic)! Should look like this when done:

Attachment 92500

I followed the directions posted and I am having a little trouble. I dont see the hex screw. Is the cover just suppose to come off only on the car? I am little confused. My original key cover got came off already and the key hole is exposed. I pulled the handle all the way out and I still dont see the hex like in the pic.

did you screw the bolts inside?

i installed mine few minutes ago. Very easy only took a few minutes
unscrew the bolt inside the door like the picture above. Gently pull the old cover out then snap the new one. put it back in and then screw the bolt

some pics of my install

finished product
