STILLEN Hi-Flo intake pic's

Easy install. Nice turbo-like noise at mid-high RPM. Power improvement at high RPM. So "stock looking" the dealer did not notice. Recomended add-on under $300.00.

Add a 350Z intake tube and it will really wake up. BTW, I hope you didn't pay anywhere near $300 for it.

Nice turbo-like noise? I'm removing mine because of this damn irritating whistle. Guess it's a question of preference.

Probably the single most popular mod ever: 350Z intake tube

A search will reveal a ton of info if you want to do some reading and kill a lot of time.

350 Z tube

Z tube.
Does anyone have pictures of one installed on a Sedan?
Is it a stock 350 Z part that's fitted to a G ?
Thanks.

You have any sounds clips of the whistling??? I love that stock look, would go great with my Z tube. I believe there was another thread about the Stillen hi flow intake and somebody quoted after they dragged race at the track there car completely shut off due to the Stillen Hi flow intake. what’s up with that? anybody else read that thread?

Whistle: don't have the clip but trust me it's irritating. If it would be at WOT, it would sound mean but it's only at mid open throttle. PimpG35, it's not rpm dependent but throttle dependent. Sometimes when you have to have the gas pedal halfway down to just keep a constant speed on the highway, you get the whistle continuosly

Shutting off: I got it also, after long highway driving at ca. 125 mph, when I hit the clutch, the rpm drop so low that the car stalls. I don't know however what is the additional role of the grounding kit in it (rpms dropping quicker after I installed it)

So much for that matter. I'm getting my K&N next week and replacing the stock box.

I've done some extended drives with some guys and repeatedly hit 100+ speeds (up to 135) with lots of downshifting/clutch-coasting... I've _never_ had my engine just shut off. Something else must be the matter. Perhaps it's time for you to have someone hook up a Consult to your car and read what's going on at the ECU level.

I have the Stillen intake, and it does not whistle at all. I think you got a leak some where. I would check all the connections again.

The Stillen is very quiet, because of the inclosed filter box.

I've checked it for leaks several times. Somebody on the forum claimed it's the Stillen ring that causes the whistle. I will know for sure when I put the stock box in next week.
