Just installed mine today.

I thot I would get a gap between the shiftknob and the boot, but after install, I have no gap and the boot rises above actually. I can only shift holding the top of the shiftknob now. My pinky rubs on the stiff part of the boot holding it from the side. Kinda uncomfortable but i'll see if i'll get used to it.

Do you have the rubber finisher underneath the shift boot that comes with the nismo ****? If you do I'd suggest you remove it and see how it looks, play around with it you should be able to fit it to how you like it.

there is nothing underneath. seemed like there was no room for anything else either. the top portion of the boot is really big and fat that it rests on whatever is already there. I might remove the foam to make it less fluffy but i dont think that's what's causing the boot to sit up.

good quality tho!

Underneath there is a White plastic ring that I have the boot zip tied to, if you're handy enough you could remove that white ring and just have the boot on that way also. Just a suggestion.

Already made! I just don't have pictures of it installed. The shift boot is an easy install.

You have to remove the shift ****.
Then remove the whole console piece.

The shift plate is screwed on from the bottom side.

Once you remove the shift plate take the boot and stretch the stretchy fabric underneath the boot around the shift plate, once you get the boot aligned the way you want you then screw the plate back on and the screws should have no problem going through the thin fabric underneath the boot.

PM me if you're interested in a shift boot
