So on the install I will just pop off oem ****, pull out shifter trim, remove oem chrome trim piece ath the top of the boot, put on bottom base of new **** with screws, spring, then top of ****?

How does the shift boot adapt to the new ****. (Sorry if this has been covered, there was a lot in here to sift through).

 

^ Thats about it. The top of the boot just rest around the lower section of the ****. You can also add one of my custom boots to make it look even sweeter.

 

Sean's right, depending on how high you mount the **** the boot should come right up to it. Here's mine:

Received and installed today. Is it right that my shift **** can spin left and right if I move it with my hand? The inner piece is tightened(the part with the screws) but the other top and bottom of the **** can move left/right. Am I missing something?

Here is a teaser pic. I just installed my Pioneer AVH-p4300dvd in the JDM DD and ran the ipod cable through the top cubby, ..I will take additional pictures soon!

 

^ yes, the **** has to be able to move so you can depress it. As long as in the inner collar is tight, you are set.

 

Are the ***** different sizes or can you make the boot cover up part of the ****. I like the first picture where it shows only the ball and not the extra circular stick under the ball if you know what i mean lol
