Just now got a sample of the black *****. These pictures really don't do them justice. They are AWESOME looking especially when the sunlight hits them! These are not anodized like most *****, they are a powercoat-like paint. I can get other colors done as well. I'm all ears

Engraving would look great on these ***** as well. It would show silver through the black paint. Or, I could do a multi-color effect like black with red engraving. I want to start experimenting!

I just remove it, but you can leave it on if you would like I suppose... If you remove it, you have the ability to make the **** sit lower.

I took mine off, like he said the **** can sit much lower without it and looks a lot better.
