Can someone confirm if I am looking at the right lights.
I was trying to locate what are being called "City Lights" on the DD website and my guess is that they are what I call parking lights which at least for the 06 G35X is the small circle with an orange plastic covering.
Do people open the headlight and remove the orange plastic so that the LED is noticeable? I dont see how changing the stock bulb to LED will show much different when it is being sent through a colored plastic cover. Perhaps brightness can be changed, but not the cleaner look like an unobstructed LED elsewhere.
Also, it would be great someone can post some updated pictures of their install as it seems the bulbs have changed since the beginning (new offerings like HP5) to show what todays choices look like. I assume the pictures listed are from the original designs 3+ years ago. Maybe they kept the same lumen output though...

I think the "City Light" is the small 194 bulb lamp that is inside your fog lamp reflector, and the amber lens you are speaking of is your turn signal
I didn't think of it being the actual foglight because I think there was a separate category for foglights, but they may have been an HID upgrade kit and if we just wanted an LED bulb instead of a full conversion that would make some sense. I'm at work so I cant check the website right now to confirm the offerings.
I am pretty sure, at least for the 06 sedan, that we have one upper main headlight bulb, a lower fog light bulb, and then an inside edge orange covered turn signal. I may be miss labeling it a parking light or maybe its a running light, but there is a name i believe for that orange light when it is just constantly on and not blinking. So I see a total of 3 lights in the housing.
*Edit: You may indeed be right on the fog light location, here is the "City Light" plug and play LED:

And here is the HID fog light conversion, a little more than plug and play:

Would you agree this validates your opinion that City Light = Fog Light?*
**Edit2: Now I am unsure again as their site shows 2 click options, one for City Light and another for Fog Light (and a 3rd for turn):

I apologize for not responding sooner. I just returned from an out of state car event.
The City lights are a simple 194-bulb replacement in the factory headlights. The fog lights are integrated into the headlights as well, and are a 9003 bulb size for the 2003-2005 model years.
If you have any questions about fitment, please give us a call: (314) 205-3033

No worries Nick, I saw that you were away so I was just posing my question to anyone who had bought from you previously. Thank you for replying as well.
I am still a bit confused I guess as to where the 194 bulb is because it sounds like you are saying it is not the fog light. I understand that the headlight housing holds the fog light inside and we don't have a unique separate location like other vehicles may have (or potentially other year G's).
I will probably just start with an interior order and then decide later if I want to try for City Lights or any other ones that take a few more minutes of work to access.
Also mine question involved the 2006 year sedans not 03-05.

I saw a picture somewhere showing what makes sense to be the city light in the upper inside corner of the lower light housing and when I went to closely inspect mine, I didn't see any sign of a spot for a light, it was completely and smoothly sealed. Also a quick google search for 06 sedan headlights showed the same housing also missing the city light.
Is this supposed to be like a DRL or something? Kind of confused in general what the point of that bulb even is and DRL is the only thing to make sense. I know I have lights on during the day.
Hopefully you can verify it further and then update your website so that no one with the particular model years buys the bulb thinking it has a location to go in.
