That's about $5.00 cheaper than most I've seen. The only problem I have with Bluetooth is that you still have to put an antenna on if you want good reception and you still need a cradle for that if you don't want a wire showing with your phone plugged in.

You've said this before. I don't understand what you mean. Bluetooth connectivity between devices has nothing to do with antennas. Are you saying your phone needs an external antenna to get good CELLULAR reception? Bluetooth devices communicate up to 30 feet from each other (in theory) without the need for any external device. You don't see a Bluetooth mouse with a little aerial attached.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I live in an area that has few towers in some places. (Outside sales) I am all over the place. It's not uncommon for me to be 30 miles from a tower. You MUST have an external antenna to get reception in those areas. In my old company car I had an "install kit" that had a cradle for the phone that had an external connection for the antenna. With a good "hard wired" antenna (not a thru the glass), I hardly ever had a dropped call.

Okay. I was confused by your wording. It's not the Parrot system you're faulting but the lack of a Bluetooth phone with external antenna connection possibilities. Got it.

Over here at Fry's Electronics (Yes, I'm a Fry's Electronics employee ), we are also selling the Parrot CK3100 except it's going for $199.99, installation requires alot of custom drilling. for the microphone and the controller. It does not have an external antenna or anything. It's similar to the stock bose headunit that comes with bluetooth on the 06' without the bluetooth antenna.

The Parrot is not plug and play with Infiniti Bose. We do make an interface. You can read some of the background at http://members.***.net/quickconnect

Do you need to have anything else besides a bluetooth phone to make this work?

Once your kit is installed in your G35, the bluetooth phone stays in your pocket or purse. It links with the kit when you start your car (takes about 25 seconds). In the case of my Verizon (Motorola) E815 phone, it does everything - shows signal strenth and battery level on the display, rings and mutes the radio when a call comes in, shows called ID, and the full voice capabilities on the phone are available by just pushing the green button. You can say "Call Fred" or you can say "Call 555-555-1212". It is very cool. My wife and I both have bluetooth phones and it stores her info as well as mine (up to 5 phones) so it knows who is in the car. When I start the car, it downloads any changes to my phonebook automatically. Parrot does bluetooth right IMO. Highly recommended.

That sounds really nice. But do you have to install anything besides this kit and have a bluetooth phone? My car is an 04' and does not have the factory bluetooth so I would like to make sure first.

That is all. The Parrot unit (with our harness for a no-cut install) + a bluetooth phone and you will be set. That is the point of the Parrot - to retrofit your car to have handsfree. In fact, if you listen to the guys with the Maximas and FX's who got factory bluetooth in their '06, they don't have half the features of the Parrot...

yep- have an 06 g with built in BT and am replacing with the Parrot 3200 due to the Parrot having far more critical/essential features.
