NEW: Trader Ratings

We at G35driver have been adding to our aresenal to help users avoid getting defrauded by other users. Most fraud has been perpetrated by repeat offenders, and users have had little recourse other than to post warnings.

With that in mind, we now offer "Trader Ratings". After you have completed a transaction with a user, you can leave feedback. A positive/neutral/negative rating, as well as a field for comments will be available. The Trader Rating will appear below the user's name on all posts, and details are available by clicking on the user's rating.

If you have dealt with users in the past and had a positive/negative experience, please feel free to rate that user at this time. Those accumulated transactions will give us the confidence or caution we need to trade with other users.

Currently available for all users, this will soon be a feature that will be withheld for Premier Members in the future. Since Classifieds is going to become Premier in the near future as well, we feel that the verification process of Premier, combined with Trader Ratings will provide the one-two punch to eliminate fraud on the boards.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to PM any Administrator, and we'll be more than happy to answer any questions.

Kyle this system is AWESOME! I have sold and purchased several items to/from people on this site. I sold Colin a pulley bolt and decided to "try out the system". I sent Colin a PM and had him rate our transaction.

What Colin did was click on the "zero" by trader rating (0) next to my user name and then he clicked on Submit Feedback For Neffster. This will took him to a simple page where he could select buyer or seller and then leave feed back just like E-bay (or G-bay as someone cleaverly commented somewhere else ) and it even gave the option to attach a link that documented our transaction.

After Colin was done I got an automatic PM telling me that someone had left feedback for me and "the system" requested that I leave feedback for this person too.

VERY SLICK SET UP! I'm impressed!!! Good work!

Yes this is a great idea, I use this system on other boards also, its awesome.

My only question is, if this will soon be for premier members only, wouldn't the people who wanted to rip people off not sign up anyway?

One other thing that I've seen on other boards is when you get a trader rating, it sends you a PM. I've found that people are more likely to return a trader rating this way cuz sometimes a lot of people don't give credit when it is due, but they still want to recieve it.

I apologize if this is already in place, its just so new I haven't really used it yet, but I thought that would be a good idea

Just curious, what is to stop a scammer from creating multiple accounts and then send himself positive feedbacks to boost his own rating?

That's a good question. If a scammer has a rolling IP that seems possible, and rather likely. But you can't protect the members of this site completely- common sense is still key, good trader rating or not.
