Hey guys I have a JL 450/4 amp that I purchased from a forum member on my350z. However, the amp he sold me was faulty and he blames my installer for the amp not working right. It does not look like hes going to do anything about it and is low enough to rip a member off. And he claims to work in an audio shop too and said the amp tested perfectly fine. Please. In any case, the amp works but the problem is that it overheats causing it to turn off and it causes a whine when speakers are plugged in. The whine stays on for maybe 10 min or so and then goes away. Rather than just throwing this useless amp away that i paid almost 400 for, i'm selling it incase someone knows how to repair it or has connections to JL. As far as I can tell, you can easily have JL fix this and it'll still be way cheaper than buying a new JL 450/4.

I am selling this for 50 bucks picked up in socal. Otherwise you'll have to pay for shipping. Just seeing if there is interest...

I have since then purchased a brand new 450/4 for myself so I dont have time to deal with the repairs.

Why don't you just send it to JL for their flat repair? I think it's around $125 and they are CA too so shipping wouldn't be much.

 

hmmm i shoudlve thought about that.. oh well i didnt have time so i just bought myself a new amp. I guess whoever buys this is getting a good deal then.
