FS: Qty (6) OEM 6MT 18” Wheels/Pilots - Florida
#17
FINALLY got the wheel situation resolved so these are back up for sale. Bump for me :-) Someone please take all of these. I need them gone and this is a very good deal. Buy em, use the ones you want then recuperate some of your money by selling remaining ones or just keep one as a full size spare. These would be great for racers and you'll have spares.
Prefer local if possible. Someone in South Florida has to have a need for these...
P.S. Sorry to all those that wanted any/or all of these originally. I could not foresee all the issues I had with the new wheel purchase (Not shipping for 3 weeks, damage etc...). If any of you are still interested let me know. Thanks,
Flyby

I just re-listed due to problems with my new wheels so I want to try for a local sale for a couple of days. If that does not happen then I will consider shipping again.

The biggest thing is that I don't wat anything to happen to these during shipping and I have nothing existing to put them in. The best things for wheels is a double line corrugate box designed specifically for wheels/tires. I thought that is what my new wheels were going to come in but they came only wrapped and hence got damaged. I just don't want someone to be disappointed because I was unable to find adequate packing materials. As long as the buyer is willing to cover shipping I don't particularly mind the hassle of getting them packed but boxes that size and quality are not easy to find and honestly don't fit to well in a G which is the only form of transportation I have at this point... :-) Let me see if I can find any boxes somewhere and how much they are. Uhaul prob has some collapsible but who knows how much they'll want for them.

Alright you guys and gals that want these shipped. Can someone tell me where I can find some decent boxes that will hold these without allowing them to get damaged. I am not shipping these to anyone if I don't feel like they will make it there safely. Has to be narrow enough not to allow wheels to jiggle around much and have a wall thick enough to support the weight. Oh, here is the catch, the boxes must be in the collapsed state and able to fit into my coupe so I can get them home for packaging.
Someone also tell me what they think these will cost per wheel to ship. $50, $30 what. Seller wanted $200 from me recently for a set of wheels ($50 per wheel) Is that normal???
Thanks,
Flyby

Who wants these shipped? I found some boxes that will work. Everyone has a pretty good idea how much wheels and tires cost to ship. If you want to check prices just go to UPS and calculate a box large enough for one wheel and tire (27x27x12) or possibly a 25x25x25 for two of them with air out of the tires at 50 lbs a wheel. OEM's with tires are around 50lb average a piece packed in a box.
Check your zip from mine 33484 and you have somewhere close to what it is going to cost... Seems to be about $40 - 45 a wheel depending on Zip Code and if you go to UPS store they tack a little bit on... Just went into UPS store and asked for price for a 100lb box (25X25x25) shipped to NY and California just to get an idea. Was 86 and 95 respectively. I just got OEM 19's and the weight UPS stamped on the package was 98 for fronts and 103 lbs for rears so I am confident on the weights. Obviously the 1 wheel without the tire will be much less... I'm open to suggestions guys...
I am an honest person and will only charge the actual shipping value. I have given you all the information you need to have to calculate the shipping yourselves through whatever means necessary.

I thought about that but was trying to give my fellow forum members the first shot. I think I am going to do that today though because many people seem to think the average consumer can just ship a 50 lb wheel/tire for $20 LOL or 5 + single wheel for $100 :-)
Thanks for the feedback man.
