Okay, here is the deal with this kit, that I feel EVERYONE should know about.
Hi Tech G can back me up. Hes been in on this with me since the beginning.
I was very interested in this kit. I got in contact with the seller, and requested history of this procharger. Here is what I have.
[11:38] Mai6474: when was the oil changed?
[11:39] cu2g8rguy: less than 1000 miles ago
No problem.
I asked more about the water that ruined his motor. Yes, I said WATER.
[11:40] cu2g8rguy: we had an incident her where it was pouring down rain one day when i picked it up
[11:40] cu2g8rguy: i mean it was like a monsoon
[11:40] cu2g8rguy: and it got sucked in
[11:40] cu2g8rguy: and the water got in the engine
[11:41] cu2g8rguy: supercharger still worked fine
[11:41] cu2g8rguy: car ran and everything
[11:41] cu2g8rguy: just smoked a little
[11:41] Mai6474: did water sit in the blower or anything
[11:41] cu2g8rguy: and then found out some rings were busted
[11:41] Mai6474: were they replaced?
[11:41] cu2g8rguy: no it was taken to the shop the next day
[11:42] cu2g8rguy: and everything was dryed out
[11:42] Mai6474: what about the rings
[11:42] cu2g8rguy: sorry thats what i meant
[11:42] cu2g8rguy: busted the rings
[11:42] cu2g8rguy: sorry tryin to talk to someone else to
[11:43] Mai6474: no problem.
[11:43] Mai6474: do you have all the paperwork for the work done the day after the water got in it
[11:45] cu2g8rguy: no
[11:45] cu2g8rguy: but I can get it
[11:45] cu2g8rguy: all I have to do is call the shop
Okay, understandable.. A shop checked it out.
Here is where I asked if he would send in his procharger to the manufacturer to have it checked out. They charge 80 for this to be done.
12:02] Mai6474: will you send it in to ATI and have them open it up? to prove to everyone, not just me, that it checks out okay?
[12:03] cu2g8rguy: im not in a position to have any money outta my pocket
[12:03] Mai6474: its 80 dollars
[12:03] cu2g8rguy: im trying to get some money....thats the whole reasom im selling
[12:03] cu2g8rguy: need money
[12:04] cu2g8rguy: plus shipping
[12:04] Mai6474: ok, but if you spend the 80 dollars, to prove that everything is okay, youll make your money back.
[12:06] cu2g8rguy: how much did they say it would be to have whatever u want done to it done
[12:07] Mai6474: i understand where you are coming from, but if you sent it to ATI, spend the 80 dollars to have it checked out, your making it easier on yourself and the buyers. i know that water went through it. i want to be checked out by ATI to make sure there is no rust, and that all the parts are okay. if they note something wrong, they will tell you.
[12:09] cu2g8rguy: if u buy it then you can do that
[12:09] Mai6474: im not buying it if i dont know its okay.
[12:09] cu2g8rguy: like i said when i bought it i had to spend an additional $900 in parts i didnt expect to spend
[12:09] cu2g8rguy: ok thats fine
[12:09] Mai6474: ok, and like i said, im not buying anything without a guarantee. and neither is anyone else.
So he wont agree to have it checked out. I asked him why he didnt mention the water damage to his motor.
[12:10] Mai6474: how come you didnt state that water got in it when you posted?
He avoided the question.
[12:10] cu2g8rguy: but i dont have time to talk about it for a month a tthen spend a couple hundred dollars to have it looked at
He wont spend 80 to guarantee that the unit works fine.
I told him I was going to post whats going on. Just to alert you all. Not to stop this sale.
cu2g8rguy (1239 PM): the last guy was like im gonna ruin ur thread
Later he told me this.
[12:28] cu2g8rguy: its not like im trying to hide it
[12:29] Mai6474: you are.
[12:29] cu2g8rguy: if i was i would have never told u
[12:29] Mai6474: you never posted it.
[12:29] Mai6474: why not?
[12:29] cu2g8rguy: dont think its a big deal
[12:29] Mai6474: you dont think its a big deal that water went through it?
[12:29] cu2g8rguy: no
^^^ That was sent to me by Hi Tech G.
Dude, I am not here to ruin your thread.
You wont agree to have it checked out, you wont tell anyone whats going on, and you avoided his questions.
All you have to do is spend 80 dollars. If it makes you feel better, I will pay 20, Hi Tech will pay 20, that leaves you to pay the remaining 40.
When you get it back, post the ATI receipt. And were cool.
I was just trying to be fair, and you were avoiding it at all costs.

The ATI is a sealed unit which means the internals wouldnt get wet... (gears)
I drive my car in the rain with a vented hood all the time nothing is wrong with his SC..These units are made to take whatever you throw at them. I have 100k miles on my SC with at least 25-30 track days
Good luck on the sale
