Black rotors ??

Anyone know why the rotors are black ? I checked some websites and apparently its a e-coat that is supposed to protect the rotor from rust , etc but I cant see it lasting very long.

Does anyone have these and can provide feedback ?

This was an excellent deal. I paid $3,750 for the 355mm Front and Rear kit. Although the rear on this is only 330mm....I think for $3,100m I would have been OK with having a 1" smaller rotor in the back and a smaller caliper but still 4 piston.
