pharrari,
I own an M3 so it calls for a 5% downgrade in tire series for the rears. It's so the ride height will remain the same. I'm electing to go with 35 series all around, that's why i'm selling the 245/275s.

Teamsr2k1 I SOLD THE 255/35/19S and have only the 245/275s and will be selling a pair of 285/30s T1Rs on Monday. The 285s have 85% treadlife and will be selling for $350 shipped/$300 local pick up.

Oh I understand now. Thats how the M6 came, asked local BMW dealer and they couldn't give me an answer. Called another dealer, still didn't know why other than factory specs.

Thank you for explaining this to me

I'm looking at 35 profile for all 4, good luck with your sale!

That's to keep similar sidewall "height" for the front and the rear.. front 35% of 245mm is 85.75mm, and rear 30% of 275 is 82.5mm, but running 35% of 275 would be 96.25mm, which is much higher than the front. So if ppl run 245/35/ and 275/35 you will see the rear tire looking much "thicker"..

hopefully this helps
