Hey on he back of them, do they have indents so you can use a bolt on spacer.

i know whats his talking about, and i dont think so. i once own a set of ssr sp1 and try to used some kick project spacer and it didnt work. you will need to purchase spacer that require changing the stud out, or you can cut the stock one so that it can sit flush with the spacer.

I think you would need 15 to 25 mm spacer with these on a sedan. I have M35 sport wheels (50 offset) and I had to run 5mm just to clear the front suspension and it JUST barely clears.

what about for coupes? what size spacers are needed for these to be flush

Well, coupe offsets (normal) are like 18 front and 25 rear. So if these are 55 you would need 30 in the back just to get back to stock. It would look like crap and most likely would not be safe.
