The nice thing about this kit as opposed to the JDM "kit" is that you wont have a gap between the unit and the fascia. Unfortunately those buttons are damn cheap looking. I used the JDM parts to put my unit in and am thinking of getting one of these to see if I can pull just the plastic fascia and put it in place of the JDM one, retaining the JDM AC Controller and the Metra fascia.

 

Is it possible to switch the AC controller or buttons between the JDM and the Metra?

I know there is a JDM kit available (though not in black) but it seems that the Metra fits DD head units better (no gap) and the dual-zone climate control is already available on the controller. All that is lacking with the Metra is the buttons look cheap so I was wondering if it is possible to swap the buttons with OEM/stock ones.
