I paid $550 plus shipping on eBay for just the head unit (no iPod cable OR remote), so I think this is a very fair price. (Drives me nuts when the "price police" post replies on FS threads! If ya ain't interested in buying, make like a cow patty and hit the dusty trail... lol)
For anyone looking at buying an AVIC-D3, I can say, without any reservations, that I am absolutely thrilled with mine! I ended up spending alot (by the time I purchased the IPod cable, bluetooth adapter, wiring harness, antennae adapter, and steering wheel controls adapter), but it's worth every penny... To make up for spending the cash, I installed it myself and that helped recoup the expense of the stuff.
