I have a JL 1000/1 v2 amplifier for sale, not much to say about it as everyone knows about it. Works like a charm, minor scratches on the front which are not noticeable unless looking close, except for one which you can see is near the heat sink between the middle and right screw at the top, other than that the amp is in great condition.

As for the sub, it's a JL 10w6 v2 as well, comes with the enclosure. I'd give it a 9/10 cosmetically as the surround is scuffed, which does NOT affect mechanical performance, its just cosmetics and is not that noticeable either.

Both items have very little use as well.

I am willing to ship both, even the sub with the enclosure, however realize that since t's coming with the enclosure it may be pricier to ship, but I can ship just the sub if you don't want the enclosure. Nice set up, but the W6 would sound MUCH better in a larger vented or ported enclosure.

Nope...I acquired it in a trade and haven't ran it. I would use it, but I have a JL 15w6 that I'll be using and it only needs about 500w, maybe only 300 if I decide to go IB.

 

Eh, not necessarily. I'm not a fan of ported enclosures as I used to be, unless it's tuned low, low as in 25 - 28 Hz. The JL's also do not need much air space...to much air space and you're increasing the chances of the sub reaching it's mechanical limits with the more power you give it. It would need less power than recommended if going with a larger than recommended enclosure size.

IMHO, sealed sounds better. Yes you lose some output, but it's more linear and doesn't have that peaky sound to it, of course that depends on the driver and the enclosure as well. I preferred sealed and IB or ported tuned very low because I like hitting the lower frequencies, which there aren't many songs that will get around 30 Hz or lower, but there are a few and it is ear sex when you have a setup capable of playing these frequencies.

 

Yeah we can work something out, PM me. As for the install, if you have the wires ran already for the amp, sure I can install it, but if not, I'd rather not as I have not worked on the G yet with an audio install.
