I've searched and searched and I can't get a solid answer.

I have a 2003 G35 with the BOSE and no SAT button. I would like to be able to play my MP3 player (Creative Zen) through my headunit. Is there hope for me? If so, what is the device that I can use? Much thanks.

FM transmitter or a cassette modulator. I don't think that a straight line modulator like a PAC2 AAI-NIS will work without the SAT channel

Nice try Russ:rolleyes: , but those links are all for PAC-AAI-NIS. I like said in the first post, I DO NOT have SAT capability with my 03 BOSE system. Read before posting next time, Holmes.

The FM modulator doesn't work well at all. I already tried. According to my research, the cassette modulator won't work with the BOSE system. All it does is spit out the tape.

Dave, on my 2004 G I had the Bose and I also had a Cassette modulator for my XM radio. And it worked just fine. It was the Delphi unit.

I'm pretty sure there was a solution for non-sats out there. Can't remember exactly what though. Sorry.

my PAC-AAI-NIS is hooked up to the CD function. YES you can still play CD's. If you dont have IPOD, use the AUX inputs the PAC-AAI-NIS has.

Looks like we have some reading comprehension problems here. The USA Spec PA11-NIS might work. It's not dependent on having a SAT connector. It lists the requirements as:

Compatibility & Notes:[These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. Compatible with listed 1999-06 Nissan/Infiniti factory radios with external Changer controls. [installing the PA11-NIS does NOT interfere with the in dash 6-CD Changer radio][see footnotes for more details]
2. Compatible radios must also have a 12-pin Changer Connector on the back of the radio
3. Vehicle cannot be equipped with an external CD Changer (if so it must be disconnected from the factory radio).
4. Text and display information remain with the iPod. The Nissan/Infiniti radio will not display iPod text. You will see playlist and track numbers only.

The main consideration is the 12-pin connector mentioned. You would have to hook up the Creative Zen to the AUX jack so you don't get the benefit of the steering wheel controls or other benefits you would have with an iPod but you do get the direct connect.

Includes a single Auxiliary input for DVD, game, Satellite Radio etc. Note: The Aux. option works with or without the iPod.

For the record, it's a cassette adapter (not modulator). I had one for quite awhile (Monster brand) and it worked 95% of the time. Occasionally it would spit it out but you eventually find a sweet spot where the cord is out of the way and it will work. The sound quality is nowhere near the direct connection though. The annoying thing is hearing the whirring/clicking of the cassette mechanism when you're not cranking it or on quiet passages. It is not a great solution.

so im not sure if im reading this correctly, but the USA Spec PA11-NIS will work? I have no SAT button, but its a bose system with the 6 cd changer in it...i dont want to order it and rip everything apart and have it not work

yeah soundgate made one, it's like aux-niss or something i forget the part number. it connects to the cd changer interface. if you can't find it drop me a PM

ive been searching everywhere...i cant find anything that anyone says will work 100%, everyone is 'iffy'...i found one at mp3yourcar.com, but you either need a sat input or a cd changer input...this might sound like a dumb ques, but since the changer is in the headunit, there is no changer input right? like if someone wanted, would they be able to put a changer in the truck to have even more cds?

you would then have to convert the ipod to rca. i'm sure you can figure that one out

I believe I have the same head-unit as you, and I contacted P.A.C. to confirm which convertor to use.

It does not have a SAT button. It has a 6-disc in-dash CD changer with CD, Radio, PTY/CAT, and DISP buttons.

I would use an AAI – NIS2 and an iC – RCA cable. This will charge the iPod as well as give you good audio sound.
