How does Bose grill attach? (sedan)

Anyone know how the Bose sub grill attaches? Pics of it off would be even better!

I have the standard audio and was going to cut out the hole in the rear shelf thats there for the sub in the bose and figured I might try and get the same grill to cover it. But before cutting, wanted to see if in fact, I could retro fit it.

thanks

I put an 8 inch sub using the same mounting hole as the Bose sub. [Edit] And to answer your question... The sub is accessed from the top of the deck. Just take the cover off and remove the 4 screws. I used the same 4 mounting holes for the new sub.[/Edit]

Thanks slider, but what I really wanted to know is just how the Bose grill attaches. I want to add a sub there, but I want it to look stock and was going to try to get the Bose grill to fit. I'm just not sure how the grill attaches.

I have a coupe, but the grill is probably attached to the shelf. ie it does not come off, you have to take the whole shelf out.
Pain in the @ss, I know...

The Bose sub is attached exactly the same way. My previous image just shows how it is mounted (Bose or Memphis - same way). But the Bose only has 4 screws. To get it off, you need to have the rear shelf off and then just take out the 4 screws.

The grill is part of the shelf. You can leave the grill and just replace the sub. oh... the Bode sub has an integrated amp. I added an amp to power the new sub as well.

Very cool write up, but what specs did you go with, with your amp/woofer. I really want to ge rid of my stock sub and replace it with new amp also. Thanks
