Non-Bose remote wire tap???
I finally got to installing my self-made box modeled after the zenclosure box with 2 Image Dynamics IDQ10s. Man! They sound great! But now I have a dilema. I don't know what to use for the remote turn on wire for the amp. I know the bose amp has a remote wire for itself, but I have a non-bose system. It does have an XM receiver, but I don't know if that itself has a remote wire I can tap into. I'm looking at the wiring schematics but it's not telling me much (or maybe I just don't know how to read it). Does anybody know what I can use as a source for the remote turn on wire? It doesn't have to be so that it only turns on with the radio. I don't mind the amp being on when the ignition is in the on position.

I found a suitable source. In rear seat driver side upper panel, there is an antenna amplifier that is turned on when the ignition key is in the on or acc position. There are 2 plugs into the box. One of the plugs have 2 wires going into it. One of the wires is smaller than the other. Just tap into that wire and you'll have a source for remote turn on for the amps.
This is for those who don't have a bose amplifier to tap into.

Can you post some pics of where you found that? Wire colors would help too! the left side is perfect for me because I want to hook up an amp and sub there too.
I think their is an ignition wire hooked up to the radio. Its either red or yellow I think but see if you can get a voltemeter to check the power when key is put in. But their is one right behind the radio because thats where they ran the remote wire for my setup.
