Question Lighter Wiring

Anyone have any idea which wire (green or black) attached to the back of the cigarette lighter would supply power?

Borrowed a voltage meter and you are correct with the black being ground. Just wanted to make sure because there are a lot of black wire groups back there. Thanks!

No, there are no standards in automotive wiring. Typically though, red is positive and black is ground, but manufacturers are NOT required to use those colors, and some of them do not.

Whenever in doubt use a meter to check. You can buy an LED test light at Lowes for < $1 that would be perfect for testing things like that.
