This is a discontinued model but completely supported by Garmin.

If you like a bigger screen and not interested in bells and whistles, just accurate navigation with dead reckoning capability, I doubt it could be beat.
Fits nicely on top of the cubby opening (lid open of course).
A strip of velcro top and bottom would do it. I tried my 2610 on a friend's G35 (no navi) and it worked fine with the built-in patch antenna.
You would only need to hook up power (speaker on power plug).
