will this make your console look weird? since it only takes up 1 DIN and not 2? i want to put my old alpine system back in my car, but afraid it might mess up the look inside my g35, have any of you here installed an aftermarket headunit yet? and if so any pics?? i wanna replace this bose... and if i have a NAV, will it mess it up at all? or no?

wow nice, thats the same deck i want, how much did it cost you to get that one installed? i know it requires an external amplifier, i would like to get that done on my g, and is that an aftermarket mount kit? how does it sound compared to your bose? what amps do you have or are you using the factory bose amp? very nice deck

 

that is the double din dash i had to buy from japan, cost 300$, i already had the deck, it does require external amps, i have a JL 300/4 and JL 500/1 running JL fronts, rears, and subs. totally destroys the bose,

you don't need an external amp if you run that alpine head unit. it already has a built in amp

 

wrong answer, no it doesnt, its a CDA-7995, no internal amp, must use external.

when i put the pocket under the radio there was a small gap between them, about a cm. i had some black ABS plastic from a previous install, i made a small piece to fil in the gap and epoxied it in, looks pretty good, even better in person luckily everything fit perfect.

so if i wanna install that alpine deck i have to order a custom din mounting kit for $300!??! thats expensive, dont the install shops usually have mounting kits for all kinds of cars tho? that is too much just for a mounting kit... mounting kits usually cost like $10

 

dude.... go back and read about why you need this mounting kit. you practically need to buy an entire new dash board to get this to work, including new air conditioning controls

how long did it take you to do? is there a DIY guide to install the dash kit anywhere?cuz if i can install the dashkit myself i might as well install my head unit as well....

The $400 for the dash in japan.. does that include all the buttons (including the dual climate control button)??
